Why We Formed The Futures Fellowship

We, the Futures Mentors, are a group of committed professionals who have informally mentored many college-age young adults. Together, we created the Futures Fellowship because we believe that, with the right structure and support, mentoring relationships can be meaningful and impactful for both mentees and mentors. The Futures Fellowship is rooted in three fundamental ideas:

1. Meaningful mentorship can dramatically impact the academic, personal and professional lives of college students
2. For mentoring relationships to be as impactful as possible, both mentors and mentees need ongoing support and structure.
3. A group of 6 mentors working collectively provides each mentee with access to a far wider range of networks and expertise than the traditional 1:1 mentoring relationship.
